For patients whose teeth are chipped, fractured, stained or decaying, Viva Dental Studio offer a Teeth Bonding service. This is a very quick and easy process, which can be completed in a single visit without the need for anaesthesia (unless there are special circumstances). The process takes around 30-minutes for each tooth. If damaged teeth are left untreated, you could potentially face further, more severe issues down the line.
Bonding refers to a composite resin that is used to close gaps, make your teeth look longer or change the shape or colour of your teeth. The resin is applied to the tooth and then strengthened using a special light. Shade guides are used to ensure the colour of the composite resin is as closely matched to your own teeth as possible so that it doesn’t look out of place. Preparation is not necessary for the bonding procedure, which is one of the reasons why it’s such a quick process.
One of the main benefits of dental bonding is that it’s an affordable and speedy procedure, making it an attractive option to many patients. Unlike many cosmetic dental treatments, bonding does not have to be manufactured in a laboratory, but can potentially be completed in one short visit to us. This, of course, depends on the amount of teeth you’d like us to treat.
Another advantage of teeth bonding is that, when compared with other treatments, the least amount of enamel is removed during the process. Furthermore, unless the process is being performed to fill a dental cavity, anaesthesia will not be required. You can always consult with us if you’d like some advice regarding the best approach to suit your needs.
